Starting from Chania the bus transfer will take you to Crete’s Rethymno Port on a luxurious “High-Speed Boat,” the 2-hour and 30-minute voyage across the Aegean Sea leads to Santorini’s Athinios port. A guided six-hour tour aboard buses awaits, with the tour guide meeting you upon arrival at the Santorini bus.

Begin your adventure in Oia, renowned as one of the world’s most picturesque spots. Explore its art galleries, charming boutiques, iconic white churches, and stunning Aegean-style architecture.

Moving on from Oia, head to Fira, known as the “balcony” of Santorini or the “Caldera’s Eyebrow.” Take in the panoramic volcano views, walk along the caldera edge path, or relax at the numerous cafes and bistros. Wander through narrow streets lined with boutique shops, savor local gastronomy, and taste the famous Santorini wines.

After exploring the island, we return to Athinios Port. We then board the ferry for the journey back to Crete, concluding an escorted tour promising an unforgettable experience.

Our journey begins in Oia, perched on the northern tip of the island. As we arrive, you’ll immediately notice the charming white-washed buildings cascading down the cliffside, contrasted by the azure blue domes of its churches. Oia is known for its breathtaking sunsets, so we’ll start by exploring its narrow cobblestone streets lined with boutiques, art galleries, and cafes.

  1. Oia Castle. Our first stop is the iconic Oia Castle, offering panoramic views of the Caldera and the Aegean Sea. From here, you can witness one of the most mesmerizing sunsets in the world.
  2. Maritime Museum. Delve into the maritime history of Santorini at the Maritime Museum, showcasing nautical artefacts, model ships, and photographs depicting the island’s seafaring past.
  3. Amoudi Bay. Descend the steps from Oia to Amoudi Bay, a picturesque fishing village nestled at the base of imposing cliffs. You can enjoy freshly caught seafood at one of the waterfront tavernas or take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters.

Fira Highlights

Next, we venture to the bustling capital of Santorini, Fira. Situated on the western edge of the island, Fira offers a vibrant atmosphere with its bustling streets, lively tavernas, and stunning vistas of the Caldera.

  1. Museum of Prehistoric Thera. Explore the ancient history of Santorini at the Museum of Prehistoric Thera. Admire pottery, frescoes, and other relics dating back to the Bronze Age, offering insights into the island’s Minoan civilization.

Rethymno Port (07:30 am) – Boarding:

  • Begin your journey with a smooth boarding process. The boat departure to Santorini follows, promising a 2-hour and 30-minute scenic cruise.

Pass: Athinios Port-Santorini:

  • Upon arrival at Athinios port in Santorini, our awaiting bus and tour guide will be ready for an island exploration. The bus is conveniently located just outside the port.

Stop: Oia (2 hours):

  • Immerse yourself in the beauty of Oia, a glamorous small town. Enjoy a 2-hour stop to explore its charm and capture memorable photos.

Stop: Fira (2 hours):

  • Experience Fira with a 2-hour stop, allowing free time to stroll, shop, or savor a coffee while admiring the breathtaking view of the Caldera.

16:00: Athinios Port – Boarding for the return journey to Crete.

  • Embark on a 2-hour and 30-minute cruise back to Crete.

18:30: Arrival at Rethymno Port-Crete.
