Explore the Traditional Kritsa Village

Kritsa Village is one of Crete’s most famous and charming villages, known for its narrow streets and traditional shops. It’s also known for its grape varieties and wines, making it a perfect first stop on our Jeep Safari.

Scenic Drive to Katharos Plateau

We’ll leave the village behind and ascend through a beautiful route that offers magnificent views of the island. At Katharos Plateau, located at an altitude of 1250 meters, we’ll take a break at a traditional cafe. There you can enjoy coffee while soaking in the stunning surroundings.

Selakano Forest and Sarakina Gorge

Next, we’ll journey through the Selakano Forest, a peaceful and lush area, before reaching the Sarakina Gorge. This narrow gorge, carved by the Sarakina River, features dramatic limestone cliffs. It will leave you in awe with its amazing beauty.

Relaxing Swim at Istron and Myrtos Beach

After exploring the gorge, we continue to the village of Istron. There you can relax and enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters of Myrtos Beach. This beach one of the most beautiful beaches on Crete.

Scenic Route Back to Your Hotel

We’ll return to your hotel along a breath taking route.

Itinerary

08:00 am: Jeep Safari departure.

Kritsa village. 40 min stop.

Arrival at the Katharo Plateau – 40 min stop for coffee.

The entrance of Sarakina Gorge. Beginning of the walk. 30 minutes walk to reach the south coast.

Myrtos Beach. Time for swimming and sun bathing. 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Lunch stop. 1 hour.

17:00 – 18:00: Arrive back.
